Samantha Claar Claar's work is all about color. Vibrant, flowing cascades of color impart life and depth to art that runs the gamut from canvas to collage to houses. Multiple houses on Tybee have received the Claar signature of color and whimsy. Best known is the "Artist's Cottage" on N. Campbell. Cats are a signature item for Claar. Tybee Porch Cats ã and Tybee Fishã are available at Gallery by the Sea and Dragonfly Studio, as are canvas work and novelty items.Tybee Cat Says: is a tongue in cheek look at life from a cat's viewpoint, published monthly in the Tybee Breeze. A Claar cat was the cover art in 2004's Where to Eat at the Beach and The Islands Directory in 2003-04 featured a cover by Samantha. Claar’s creations are an extension of the person - bold, defined and colorful. Claar describes her style as “outside the box of structural learning, so I never have to think, this is the way it ought to be done?" Samantha's work can be viewed at TybeeCats.com.
