![]() Larry Lauria Larry Lauria has been drawing, animating and teaching for most of his life. His artistic creed is: “You have to know the rules - to break the rules.” Over the years, he has had the opportunity to work on projects Awarded with Emmy’s, Addy’s, Cody’s and even a few BAFTRA’s. While head of animation at the Disney Institute, he taught visitors from as far away as Tokyo and was personal animation guru to celebrities such as Andy Garcia, Gladys Knight and Joan London. His passion for teaching has been rewarded by recognition in WHO’S WHO AMONG AMERCIAN TEACHERS from 2003-2006. He created LARRY’S TOON INSTITUTE, a popular website that teaches animation and character design for free. He likens his artistic life to being an air traffic controller with projects and films always ready to land. He has experience in every aspect of animation. Larry loves to draw and paint and finds that Tybee Island and the Savannah environs are the perfect place for an artist to live. His is the father of Ty B. Bear and the Low Country Critters. He has written a children’s book, Ty B. Bear and the Foam People. Larry loves to travel and has worked in Washington, New York, Dublin, London, Belfast and Cologne.
