Hello outdoor artists!

Now that summer is almost here,  I know more of you can join us!  Mark your calendars before your schedule before it fills up!  1st and 3rd Wednesday's as usual. TAA and TAPAP (Tybee Arts Plein Air Painters)  welcomes any art form and any level of experience.

Meet at the Tybee Lighthouse

LOCATION: #30 Meddin Driveat the Tybee Lighthouse parking lot

DIRECTIONS:  Take Hwy 80 to Tybee. Turn left at 1st Red Light. Road ends at Guard House, turn left. 1st road on right, turn. Continue on this road until you reach the lighthouse on your left.

FYI :  Free Parking. Lighthouse, historic outbuildings, people, trees.

Find shade under a tree and create!  Sketch, photograph, paint. Any way you wish to be creative.

  Lunch at Huc-a-poo's

*if it rains we will just head to Huc-a-poo's early!

  • Bring layers of clothing for the cool morning air but be ready for it to warm up as the day progresses. 

  • Bring LOTS of WATER and SUNSCREEN. There is some shade but not everywhere

  • Bring a HAT to keep off glare which distorts colors & to protect you from the sun

  • Bring BUG SPRAY  

  • Reference photos are handy so bring a camera if you want to

  • Bring plastic bag for trash and take it when you leave

When Applicable:

  • If someone wants to buy a painting off your easel at the beach, you must not sell on the beach. Give the buyer your card and do business elsewhere. 

  • Do not set up on sidewalks

  • Do not cause any disruptions in parks for people who are enjoying the park
