TAPAP will resume Saturday afternoon paintouts on Saturday, September 17 at 1
pm.
LOCATION: Tybee Arts Association Plein Air Painters (TAPAP) has selected the Public Fishing Pier at Lazaretto Creek as our site. This spot offers a lot of motifs from shrimp boats, marina, docks and even a distant view of Cockspur Lighthouse. See you at Lazaretto Creek on Saturday. Turn off Hwy 80 (at the west side of the Lazaretto bridge) to dead end.
Please remember that the fishermen need to have quiet to not scare away the fish so we must watch our footsteps on the pier and keep conversations in a lower key to be courteous.
Though the temps have cooled a bit, sunscreen is recommended and of course a hat and water. Afternoon light is preferred to some painters over the glare of morning light so it is a change from our usual 10 am setup.
Several members of our group are also members of Savannah Art Association and are participating in a judged show at the Airport and an exhibit at TaCa Japanese
restaurant on Oglethorpe. If you are in either area, you might want to take a look .
FYI : Parking is FREE here and there is no charge to paint with TAPAP. Guests are always welcome.
