Hello outdoor artists!

Now that summer is almost here,  I know more of you can join us!  Mark your calendars before your schedule before it fills up!  1st and 3rd Wednesday's as usual. TAA and TAPAP (Tybee Arts Plein Air Painters)  welcomes any art form and any level of experience.

Next Paintout is Wednesday, June 7th

 10am till 12

Meet at the Tybee Arts Association Building

LOCATION: #7 Cedarwood Ave, Tybee

DIRECTIONS:  Take 80 into Tybee. Left at 1st Red Light. Road ends at Guard House, turn left. 1st road on right, turn. Next road on right is Cedarwood, turn right and building is on the right. 

FYI :  Free Parking. Lots of views of trees, Jaycee Park, pathways, cottages, streetscapes, benches in park.

Restroom and air conditioning in the TAA Building if you want to paint inside and do a view out the window. If it is hot, I may do the 'out the window' version!

  Lunch at North Beach Grill

  • Bring layers of clothing for the cool morning air but be ready for it to warm up as the day progresses. 

  • Bring LOTS of WATER and SUNSCREEN. There is some shade but not everywhere

  • Bring a HAT to keep off glare which distorts colors & to protect you from the sun

  • Bring BUG SPRAY  

  • Reference photos are handy so bring a camera if you want to

  • Bring plastic bag for trash and take it when you leave

When Applicable:

  • If someone wants to buy a painting off your easel at the beach, you must not sell on the beach. Give the buyer your card and do business elsewhere. 

  • Do not set up on sidewalks

  • Do not cause any disruptions in parks for people who are enjoying the park
